Port of Livorno

The Port of Livorno, a strategic commercial hub, has completed an ambitious relamping and sensor integration plan for its systems, funded through the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan). DZ Engineering managed the intervention to slash energy consumption and raise security standards.

The operation involved the replacement of obsolete lighting fixtures with high-efficiency, dimmable LED units equipped with Zhaga nodes for sensor integration. The infrastructure relies on an interconnected mesh network, managed by a centralised platform for real-time monitoring and remote control of every light point. This solution drastically reduces CO2 emissions.

Through its expertise, DZE integrated advanced technologies even in contexts not originally planned, which accelerated the digitalisation of complex port infrastructures.
