Opera by Edoardo Tresoldi, Reggio Calabria

Opera is the permanent public art installation on the Reggio Calabria seafront, promoted and commissioned by the Municipality and the Metropolitan City.

The installation was created to celebrate the contemplative relationship between the place and the human being through classic architectural language and the transparency of the Absent Matter, expressed through the wire mesh. The open architecture offers a new monument that can be crossed by and is fully accessible to locals and visitors.

Design and construction of the lighting system aimed at enhancing the work created by the artist Edoardo Tresoldi entitled “OPERA” and its tour routes. Our project involved the lighting of the 46 columns up to 8 m high through the use of 3000K recessed LEDs, positioned in such a way as to create the same final play of shadow and light on each element and the lighting of the access walkways with DIGIWALK 50 LED steplights at the same colour temperature.
