Photographic exhibition “Stories. I racconti della Motor Valley”, Dino Zoli Foundation

from 23 September to 15 October 2017

• “Speed is the form of ecstasy the technical revolution has bestowed on man” Milan Kundera, “Slowness”, 1995

Stories. I racconti della Motor Valley[Stories. Tales from the Motor Valley], hosts over 50 photographic works by Mindy Tan and Wilfred Lim, curated by Nadia Stefanel.

With the patronage of the Italian Embassy, the Cultural Institute and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, the exhibition is fresh from the great public success achieved during the première (from 14 to 17 September 2017), which took place in the prestigious The Arts House in Singapore, at the same time as the night stage of the Formula 1 circuit in Marina Bay, of which DZ Engineering has been a main partner from the very beginning.

Within the renowned Italian Motor Valley – located along the famous Via Emilia, muse from Rimini to Piacenza for the likes of Luigi Ghirri and Paolo Ventura who set some of their best-known and most lyrical projects there – the two young photographers from Singapore, in artistic residence at the Foundation during the month of June, travelled through the birthplaces of Lamborghini, Maserati, Ferrari and Ducati to capture the legends of the engine industry landscape, with an enchanted look at what lies hidden behind the legends of the automotive establishment, capturing their passions through their creative lens. Their photographs tell the story of the Made in Italy concept, combining the legend of the automotive industry with the emotional narrative of its identity.
