Canonica Palace, Pisa

DZ Engineering managed the lighting restoration of the Palazzo della Canonica in Pisa, now home to the new library for the Scuola Normale Superiore. The intervention combines tradition and innovation to enhance the historical identity of the 16th-century building.

For the reading rooms, the team installed Zumtobel linear fixtures equipped with advanced dimming systems and Litcom scenes. This setup maximises visual comfort and energy efficiency.

In the internal loggia, accent lighting emphasises the vaulted architecture. The use of antique copper finishes for the lighting fixtures, including emergency units, ensures a harmonious aesthetic integration. This project confirms DZE’s expertise in merging cutting-edge technology with a rigorous approach to architectural conservation.
