Smart City Control Room Florence

DZ Engineering designed and installed the systems and videowalls for the Municipality of Florence’s new Smart City Control Room (SCCR). Located near the Leopolda Station, this operations centre optimises cooperation between agencies and streamlines data exchange. The facility ensures real-time monitoring and predictive management of traffic-impacting events, such as roadworks or public gatherings, providing immediate solutions for fluid and secure urban mobility.

DZE’s expertise, developed in the motorsport and urban security sectors, is a cornerstone of this ambitious program. This infrastructure strengthens the Smart City initiative through sustainable resource management. By leveraging IoT technologies, the SCCR enhances public service efficiency, from traffic lights to lighting, and improves the overall quality of life.
