Palermo Cathedral

The Palermo Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site, renews its splendour through a relamping project of all interior spaces by DZ Engineering. The intervention involved the replacement of obsolete fixtures with high-efficiency LED technologies, custom-finished to ensure seamless integration with the historical stuccos and plasters.

The lighting design guarantees flexibility for every activity, from liturgical rites to public tours. The project alternates indirect light beams, which enhance arches and architectural depth, with direct sources for reading areas and artistic heritage.

The DALI system coordinates the entire infrastructure through digital regulation of individual floodlights. This technology allows for the configuration of custom scenarios, designed to elevate the majesty and spirituality of the Basilica.
