Palazzo Guiccioli Ravenna

Palazzo Guiccioli in Ravenna, a historic residence, returns to life as an international museum complex thanks to the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Ravenna. The building houses the Byron Museum and the Risorgimento Museum within an atmosphere faithful to 19th-century Ravenna.

DZ Engineering designed the lighting project to create a harmonious dialogue between art and light. The system, key to the museum’s narrative, employs spotlights and profile projectors to highlight architecture and decorations. The use of dimmable fixtures (18W, CRI=98, 3000K) optimises brightness levels in every room.

On the first level, the lighting emphasises the interactive journey dedicated to Lord Byron among furnishings, paintings, and manuscripts. Moving forward, in the Risorgimento Museum, the light guides visitors through relics and historical testimonies to celebrate national identity within a setting of extraordinary philological rigour.
